In today class (Wednesday 11/01/2017) - We started by learning new code and set up for more challenges in today lass. - We did autonomous code so our robot can go entire circle without using the control - We had a little bit problem with coding because the computer stopped working accidentally. Luckily, with the help of Professor Mason and the member of Robotic team we could make it to the next round of competition. - Next challenge was to go around the field using control, and grab a cone. After that, we had to press a button to activate autonomous mode for the robot running to the designated position and drop the cone. - We did not do well at the beginning, but the last challenge where each team we combined all the code learned from the beginning of the class and download to the robot. We won in the last competition and became one of the winning teams. -This was so much fun building and learning things about robot. It definitely helped us understand more about this inte...
In today class, we learned about Engineering Ethics and answers some questions First, looking at 13 True/False questions and answer with reason why it is True or False? Second, we checked a specific case and give answer and reason as well Next, answered and gave reason for another case of Engineering Ethics. Third, we did some new formulas and graphs with Excel Here are some of them: -We used average, standard deviation formulas, and today, now formulas as well in this exercise. -In this exercise, we used if function to determine whether the valve is open or closed. - With this exercise, we created a graph from data table, then created another graph and changed the axis of it, so we can get both graphs in the same chart. Next thing we did was creating a graph and added a trend line to it, also edited some text in the equation of trend line. We did RMS deviation and Square the RMS deviation. Lastly, this exercise wanted...
In today class, we continued talking about the flow diagram - In this example, we drew a flow diagram for 2 alternative A and B to see which one has the higher cost - This model above did not represent true the reality, so we calculated Present/Annual/Future cost/worth to see which will give us the better "investment" between A and B -These were basically what we learned in today class, then we moved on the study guide for final exam, bridge rules.
